" Is that my God your talking about?"

As I read the Old Testament full of wrath, jealousy, & severe
punishment for wrong doing it just doesn't resonate with
my Spirit But, there it is; in the Word...my God,
a God of Love being blamed for killing thousands
due to disobedience, turning women to salt, & so and so on..
I thought,"who are they talking about?" then told myself
"just get through this-New Testament writings
bring clarity to the Truth. God is a God of Love and
Jesus came so that we might see the Father for who He is."
He even tells us that when He says, "when you see me you've
seen the Father." And we all know how loving, caring, &
compassionate Jesus is. In spite of his sharing
& loving nature not to mention multiple times repeating
how God is Love. Our Father Full of mercy & forgiveness
we still end in Revelations with the portrayal of a furious
God come to end it all with his wrath.
Thank God for personal relationships that bring truth to light.
God told me, "Can't you see I've been given a bad rap;
You must share I am NOT and never have been
a vengeful abusive Father with an attitude of,
I brought you here and I can take you out of here too."
Once again Satan is a liar! Man blinded by the truth
misrepresenting my God, your God. Don't get me wrong,
I am not saying the Old Testament is a lie. I am saying
due to the lack of man listening to what the Father has
been trying to say...he has (like many children) represented
our Father as one to be in fear of & on top of that a
Father out there somewhere so holier than thou we
can't even come to him ourselves & talk.
This is not so....He wants you to come to Him.
But, as any good parent He wants you to come right;
with respect and willing to hear what He has to say.
Truth is: From the beginning God gave us free will choice
& in ignorance & curiousity many act like spoiled brats
and rebel...what does He know anyway. Times are different now.
We and our know it all selfs created the generation gap.
Instead of seeing the love in the Fathers' words when
He asked what have you done? Our "feelings" of guilt and shame
led us to react like any child caught and in denial...in anger &
defense....when really that anger was our being angry with ourselves.
I do not believe God just kicked man out & left him to rough it right
then...I have no doubt He did just as He does now...he tried to
talk to them...show them the error of their ways. But, then just
as now pride got in the way & the walls went up blocking the
hope of any good communication & loving relationship.
Instead of accepting responsibility and confessing with the truth;
He said,"Well she made me eat of the fruit" and she blamed the
serpent...neither of which twisted any arms they both made
a choice and regret it but, hell will freeze before admitting it.
It is only due to our choices that many times,
God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost can do nothing but step aside
saying, "go on, leave.. Yes, I gave you authority..but, I am
here to tell you...this route will be a rough go of it."
Do you not think that it hurts them to leave us
at the mercy of Satan and his LIES watching as
He leads us down the path of a slow suicide.
Always they watch for the tiniest crack in the door
so they can enter in & lead us back home to safety.
Does that sound like a vengeful Father?
No! Yet we continue to slam the door in their faces.
Then when it gets all whack we continue to blame God!
Why would God let this happen to me?
How could God be so mean? Or saying things like this:
You better get it right cause the end times are a comin' and
God is going to wipe out all those not doing as he says.
That is not what He said. He even sent His obedient son
to tell us once again the truth & he even was willing
to lay down his life for us in atonement for our sins.
Promising with his death on the cross we can
believe he has put Satan at our feet and we are
washed clean...just follow him & come home.
Telling us:"abide with me & I will abide with you."
He came to show us a lifestyle He knows works
all things to the good. That thru it all he is with us.
The end times lie in your choices..you live in them now
Heaven: a closer walk with Jesus filled with joy.
Hell: a faithful spoiled brat servant of the Devil.
God loves us; Jesus, our big brother died trying to save us.
Just Imagine you are them - how would you feel? You love
with all your heart & soul just to be lied on and disregarded.
Right, you'd quit speaking to them & cut them out of
your life most likely. Not them - they just continue to
Love you and try to show you the way to the truth - LOVE.
For those who this taps something within;
I pray you are led to kick Satan to the curb
& join the Holy Ghost Gang in drawing closer
to the true family of God. I pray you will read His word
& see the truth within...God is Love & for far to long
Satan has been tricking us...there is no need to Fear God.
Respect Him yes and respect yourself..you are His.
But, fear...NO...yes, there are consequences when you
are blantantly disobedient but, those were by your
choice & created by you...What kind of Father would
just let you do things that are wrong and harmful
to yourself and say nothing?
The most important way of taking care of your body as
a whole is in learning true Love and respect of Him,
yourself, and all those you are in contact with.
